Encoder Strip for HP Ink Tank Series
or 3 instalments of LKR 933.34 with Koko (includes a 12% Koko service charge)
Description
The Encoder Strip for HP Ink Tank Series is a replacement transparent timing strip used by the printer's carriage-positioning system to accurately determine the left-to-right position of the printhead carriage during printing. Fine positioning marks on the strip are read by an optical encoder sensor mounted on the carriage. If the strip becomes scratched, stained with ink, damaged, stretched, incorrectly fitted or contaminated with dust, the printer may experience carriage-position errors, misaligned printing, duplicated or shifted text, irregular horizontal positioning, carriage movement problems or poor print quality. Replacing a damaged encoder strip can restore accurate carriage tracking and normal printer operation when the strip itself has been confirmed as the cause. This compatible replacement is commonly used across selected HP Ink Tank 100, 300 and 400-series printers and some related HP Smart Tank models that use the same encoder-strip design. Compatibility varies by exact model and production revision, so customers should compare the original strip length, end fittings and printed markings before purchasing. Professional installation is recommended because incorrect installation, twisting or contamination can result in continued positioning errors.
