Description
The Encoder Strip for HP Ink Tank 110 / 310 / 415 Series is a precision compatible replacement carriage-positioning strip designed for supported HP Ink Tank, DeskJet GT and related inkjet printer platforms. Also known as an encoder film, carriage encoder strip, timing strip, timing slit strip or carriage scale, this thin transparent strip contains precisely spaced position markings that are read by the printer's carriage encoder sensor as the printhead carriage moves from side to side. The printer uses this position information to determine the exact location and movement speed of the carriage so that Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow ink droplets are placed accurately on the page.
