Description
The ZKTeco ZKB209 is a high-performance desktop 1D and 2D barcode scanning platform designed for fast, convenient and continuous barcode capture at retail counters, supermarkets, pharmacies, warehouses, offices and point-of-sale environments. Using advanced image-scanning technology, the ZKB209 can decode a wide range of commonly used linear and two-dimensional barcode formats, including UPC, EAN, Code 39, Code 128, GS1 DataBar, PDF417, QR Code, Data Matrix, MaxiCode, Aztec and Hanxin. Its hands-free automatic scanning mode allows users to simply present an item in front of the scanner without manually pressing a trigger, improving checkout and processing efficiency. A manual-reading button is also available when controlled scanning is required. The current ZKTeco specification uses a high-resolution 1024 x 1024 pixel imaging platform with a scan range of up to approximately 280 mm when reading a standard EAN-13 13 mil barcode under specified conditions. The scanner provides motion tolerance up to 4 metres per second, helping capture moving barcodes quickly in busy point-of-sale environments. Its wide horizontal and vertical field of view and omnidirectional scan-angle capability reduce the need to align barcodes precisely before scanning. A 630 nm red LED provides illumination, while an indicator light and adjustable buzzer provide immediate scan feedback. The scanner supports USB drive-free communication and RS232 communication. Its durable ABS and PC enclosure is designed to withstand repeated drops from approximately 1.5 metres onto concrete and operate under ambient lighting up to approximately 100,000 lux. Compact dimensions and a stable desktop design make the ZKB209 suitable for permanent counter installations where reliable, high-speed barcode and QR-code scanning is required.
