Description
The ZKTeco CM-280H is a professional surface-mounted electromagnetic door lock designed for use with access-control systems in offices, commercial buildings, restricted areas, retail locations, institutions and other controlled-entry environments. The lock uses a powerful electromagnet and matching armature plate to securely hold a door closed whenever power is applied. ZKTeco specifies a holding force of approximately 250 kg ±10 kg for the CM-280H, providing reliable locking performance for compatible single-door applications. The unit supports both 12V DC and 24V DC power operation, consuming approximately 420mA ±10% at 12V or 210mA ±10% at 24V. Unlike basic magnetic-lock models, the CM-280H includes lock-status monitoring through NO, COM and NC dry-contact outputs together with visual LED status indication, allowing compatible access-control systems to monitor whether the magnetic lock is securely engaged. The lock body uses an anodized aluminium housing designed for continuous access-control operation. As a fail-safe electromagnetic lock, the door is held locked while the magnet is powered and releases when power is removed, making it suitable for access-control installations where door release is required during power interruption or emergency system operation. The CM-280H can be integrated with ZKTeco biometric terminals, card readers, access controllers, exit buttons, emergency break-glass units, power supplies and compatible third-party controllers with suitable relay outputs. Installation accessories such as L, Z, U or other mounting brackets may be required depending on whether the door is inward-opening, outward-opening, frameless glass or has limited mounting space. Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct armature alignment, maximum holding force and safe electrical operation.
