Description
The Tally DASCOM 110D-8 Black Printer Ribbon Cartridge is designed for compatible DASCOM impact dot-matrix printers used for invoices, continuous stationery, multipart forms, accounting documents, delivery notes, warehouse reports and other high-volume business printing applications. The 110D-8 uses a durable black nylon fabric ribbon housed inside a ready-to-install ribbon cassette. As the printer operates, the printhead pins strike the inked ribbon against the paper to create characters, numbers and graphics. The cassette design maintains ribbon tension and continuously advances the fabric through the print area to provide consistent ink coverage. DASCOM 110D-8 is primarily associated with the DS700II, DS5400IV and DS2100II printer platforms and is also widely cross-listed for the AR600II and selected equivalent printer models. Current DASCOM product listings describe the 110D-8 as a black ribbon cassette with an approximate rated printing capacity of 10 million characters. Replacement-ribbon manufacturers also list the cartridge as using approximately 12.7 mm wide nylon ribbon. Actual ribbon length and print life can vary by cartridge manufacturer, ribbon-core specification, print density, character mode, document type and printer operating conditions. For compatible or aftermarket versions, customers should confirm the exact printer model and 110D-8 reference before purchase.
