The HP 11 Original Printhead family is a professional, individually replaceable printhead system designed for selected legacy HP DesignJet, Business Inkjet and OfficeJet Pro printers. The complete HP 11 printhead range consists of four separate colour-specific printheads: Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. Each printhead is installed independently, allowing only the colour printhead that has reached the end of its useful life or developed a printing fault to be replaced. HP 11 printheads use HP Thermal Inkjet technology and form part of HP's modular ink-delivery architecture, where the ink cartridge and printhead are separate components. This design enables compatible printers to continuously feed ink from separate ink cartridges into the printheads during printing. Each HP 11 printhead contains 304 nozzles across an approximately 12.7 mm / 0.5-inch print swath. The Black printhead uses pigment-based Black ink and produces approximately 18-picolitre ink drops, helping create crisp text, strong black density and precise technical lines. The Cyan, Magenta and Yellow printheads use dye-based colour inks and produce approximately 4-picolitre drops, helping create smooth colour transitions, detailed graphics and accurate colour output. The HP 11 printhead family is particularly suitable for architectural drawings, engineering plans, CAD documents, maps, graphics, business documents and large-format technical printing. HP designed the printheads to work together with the printer's corresponding HP ink cartridges, automatically monitoring printhead condition and supporting alignment and maintenance functions on compatible printers. Supported printer families include selected HP DesignJet 70, 100, 110, 111, 500, 510 and 800 models, selected HP Business Inkjet printers and the HP OfficeJet Pro K850 series. HP 11 is now a legacy printhead family and HP has included these supplies in discontinued-supply documentation, so availability may depend on remaining genuine stock.
