The Canon CLI-821 Original Ink Cartridge range is designed for compatible Canon PIXMA photo and multifunction inkjet printers. Available in Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Grey, the CLI-821 family uses dye-based photo inks to produce vibrant colours, smooth tonal transitions, detailed photographs and high-quality graphics. CLI-821 Black serves as the Photo Black channel for enhanced photographic contrast and dark tones, while compatible printers use a separate PGI-820 Pigment Black cartridge for crisp text and everyday document printing. Each CLI-821 cartridge contains approximately 9 ml of ink and uses an individually replaceable ink-tank design, allowing customers to replace only the colour that has been depleted. Selected six-colour PIXMA models such as the MP988 and MP996 additionally use CLI-821 Grey to improve grayscale reproduction, neutral tones and monochrome photographic output.
