Description
The Pressure Roller for HP LaserJet Pro M402 / M403 Series is a compatible replacement lower fuser roller designed for HP LaserJet Pro M402, M403 and selected MFP M426/M427-series monochrome laser printers. Commonly referenced as LPR-M402, this component is installed inside the printer's fuser assembly and works together with the heated fixing film to apply the pressure and heat necessary to permanently bond toner to the paper. During printing, toner is first transferred onto the paper and then passes through the fuser, where the heated fixing film melts the toner while the lower pressure roller presses the sheet firmly against the heated surface. Over time, the pressure roller can develop surface wear, cuts, flat spots, deformation, toner contamination or heat damage. A worn pressure roller may cause toner smearing, poor toner adhesion, wrinkled paper, repeated marks, uneven fixing, paper jams or abnormal fuser noise. Replacing the individual lower pressure roller can provide a cost-effective repair when the fixing film, heating element, thermistors, fuser frame and other components remain serviceable. Maintenance-parts catalogs specifically identify LPR-M402 as the Lower Sleeved Roller for the HP LaserJet Pro M402/M403 and MFP M426/M427 platform. The complete fuser assembly is a separate product and is voltage-specific: RM2-5399-000CN is used for 110-127V configurations and RM2-5425-000CN for 220-240V configurations. The individual pressure roller itself is a mechanical component and is not normally voltage-specific. Professional installation is strongly recommended because fuser disassembly requires correct positioning of the fixing film, pressure springs, bushings and drive components.
